We are looking for a Sr Software Developer to work with one of our clients: a global commerce platform that simplifies the business, whose the main goal is to help business move forward by stripping away the complexities that hold it back.

How you’ll make an impact

• Collaborate with stakeholders to learn about our customers biggest challenges.
• Design, test, code, and instrument new Data products/systems/platforms at medium to large complexity level.
• Effectively measure, inspect, and drive decisions using data.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
• Perform software development with TDD and BDD, Microservice and Vertical Slice Architectures.
• Support live data products/systems/platforms, promote proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze existing systems and processes independently and effectively to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements.
• Mentor and learn from your peers, foster continuous learning within your team and organization.
• Help in interviews and provide quality and timely feedback.
• Strong at our team’s process and best practices, and apply them to given tasks with help from peers and your manager. Proactively understand customer/business problems you try to solve with these tasks, and ensure your design and implementation can actually solve these problems in an effective, reliable, and sustainable way.
• Partner with, assist, or lead your peers on completing tasks.
• May lead a scrum team with proper agile development practices.
• Own medium/large complex components or systems/products/platforms.
• Focus on continuous learning of new technologies.
• Independently complete work at medium/large level of complexity and proactively seek reviews from senior engineers on your work to ensure high quality
• Perform and lead technical discussions.
• Proactively identify and communicate dependencies.
• Proactively review work from peers and provide constructive feedback/comments.
• Become a subject matter expert in your functional area and best practices.
• Assess unique circumstances and apply creative problem-solving techniques to resolve issues or suggest various approaches.
• Use data and/or AI technology or tools in your design and development for high productivity and better solution quality.

Requirements:

• Advanced/Fluent English proficiency is mandatory - you will be in touch with USA team on a daily basis
• Living em Brasil is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Experience you’ll bring

• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Rich experience in designing a high quality and efficient solution for a medium/large complex level problem.
• Rich experience and strong implementation skills using languages like Java, C#, Go lang, & Python, including coding, automated testing, measurement and monitoring.
• Experienced and with good understanding of data processing techniques, such as data pipeline/platform development, SQL, and DBs
• Experienced and with good understanding of CI/CD automation.
• Experience in combined engineering practice and agile development.
• Passionate about keeping up with modern technologies and design. Highly interested in big data technology and its applications.
• Strong willingness and capability to learn new technology and tools quickly when needed.
• Passionate about understanding and solving customer/business problems.
• Good understanding of data processing and usage technology.
• Good understanding and experience in using AI technology for productivity improvement and/or building innovative products.
